Car wrapping is the integral or partial vinyl wrapping of the body of a vehicle using a sheet of high-quality adhesive vinyl. Allows you to completely change the color or add custom designs without touching the original paint. Barcelona is one of the cities with the highest demand for car wrapping in Spain for several reasons: high density of company vehicles, an important tuning and customization community, and the presence of big brands that need to wrap fleets and special vehicles. The catalog of finishes for car wrapping has evolved enormously in recent years. These are the main ones: Solid Colors (Matte, Satin, Glossy): The most common option. Available in hundreds of colors. The matte and satin finishes are the most popular due to their modern and exclusive appearance. The level of uniform matte finish that vinyl offers does not exist in factory paint. Carbon (carbon fiber): Imitates real carbon fiber with three-dimensional texture. Widely used in sports vehicles and tuning. Brushed: Imitates brushed metal finish. Available in silver, gold, bronze and other metals. Chrome and mirror: Spectacular finishes that turn the car into a walking mirror. They require more maintenance than matte finishes. Chameleon and flip-flop: Vinyls that change color depending on the viewing angle and light. Very spectacular and exclusive. Custom Printed Design: For corporate, competition or artistically designed vehicles. High resolution printing on cast vinyl with protective laminate. Partial wrap: Not all car wrapping has to be comprehensive. It is very common to apply the vinyl only to the roof, hood, mirrors or spoiler to create an elegant two-tone effect.

The quality of the material is the most determining factor in the final result and durability. In the professional car wrapping market there are three reference brands: 3M 1080/2080 Series: The industry standard. The 1080 Series is the most used car wrapping vinyl in the world. Available in more than 100 finishes. 5 year warranty. The 2080 Series is the improved version with greater formability and durability. Avery Dennison Supreme Wrapping Film: 3M's main competitor. It offers an equivalent level of quality with an extensive catalog of finishes. Highly valued by installers for its ease of application. Oracal 970RA: The Orafol option. Very popular in Europe for its good value for money. Available in a wide range of colors and finishes. Always avoid unbranded imitation vinyl or unknown brands: they degrade quickly, the colors fade and can damage the paint when removed. A good car wrapping job is not improvised. The professional process includes these phases: 1. Initial consultation and choice of finish: We define the design or color with the client. If it is a color change, it is common to use physical samples of the vinyl on the body. 2. Previous 3D render: For corporate or personalized designs, we generate a photorealistic render of the vehicle with the vinyl applied. Customer approves before producing. 3. Vehicle preparation: Complete washing, degreasing of the entire body and disassembly of moldings and necessary parts. This phase is critical: any remaining wax, dirt or grease prevents the correct adhesion of the vinyl. 4. Production: For printed designs, we print, laminate and cut the vinyls in our workshop. For color changes, we prepare the vinyl rolls. 5. Application: The vinyl is applied in a climate-controlled cabin, without drafts and at a controlled temperature (18-22°C). A good installer works with a heat gun to adapt the vinyl to the curves and shapes of the body. 6. Detailed: The most critical areas (edges, recesses, door entrances) require special attention and technique to guarantee durability. 7. Quality Control: Complete inspection with raking light to detect any bubbles, folds or imperfections. The complete process for an average car takes between 2 and 4 business days.
